Hi,
consider yourselves most welcome. I am honoured to have you here. My name is Jordana Barale and I am a professional photographer with over 15 years of experience in the industry.
I am Brazilian, I currently live and work in London England. This beautiful city has been my home now for 5 years. I moved here in 2018, and it goes without saying, that I encountered many challenges initially, as do all people who leave their home countries to begin a new life in a different place. Not least the challenge of learning a new language, which I am very proud to say I have managed to acquire to a proficient level. It may seem at first glance an ordinary accomplishment but for me it was so important as my photographic process relies on communication and emotional connection. So language and being able to express oneself is of utmost importance to me.
At the forefront of my objectives was to re-establish myself as a photographer in a new market where I was an unknown. As a result I had to diversify my professional roles. In my adolescence I was on the national diving team of Brazil. I utilised this talent here and became a swimming instructor. This new direction proved to be an extremely rewarding experience, not only helping adults and babies learn to swim but meeting a wide range of individuals many of whom later became my clients in photography.
As you can imagine much has changed for me in a relatively short space of time. I now have an extensive client base from different backgrounds and interests, which has given me the opportunity to push my creative boundaries into new areas I had not previously conceived of.
Among some of the innovations in my work I am now experimenting with underwater photography which has been yielding exceptional results. Pet and owner photography is another that has been a revelation for me as I had never considered this subject in photography but has given me much joy.
A love of
many things
There are a number of things in my life that I hold dear. Each taking equal place in my heart. Photography has, and continues to be, a large part of it, not only the action of capturing people's special moments and helping them to preserve their cherished memories, but as an artistic form in of itself. I have a passion for exhibiting my own photographic pieces, and have had many solo exhibitions as well as collaborative and group.

I value the process of imparting the knowledge I have gained in the industry to others. And enjoy immensely giving lectures and heading workshops. It is important for me to be able to give back.
Finally and most importantly is my family. I am a mother of 2 teenage children. Gabriel and Ana. Being their mother has been the greatest pleasure of my life, and my most treasured and important role. It is as a direct result of them that I have had the strength and courage to push through some of the most difficult moments in my life and experienced the greatest joys.
